Terms of Service
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and steampeek (“we”) for using steampeek.app. steampeek is built and run by an independent developer, and every question about it — support, billing, refunds, your data — goes to support@steampeek.app. By creating an account or starting a subscription you accept these terms. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask.
The service
steampeek collects public data about games on Steam — player counts, chart ranks, reviews, followers, prices — keeps it as history and shows it as charts, rankings and reports. steampeek is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation; game names and art belong to their owners.
Some numbers are estimates or forecasts (wishlist counts, player forecasts) and are labelled as such. Data can be delayed, incomplete or occasionally wrong. Nothing on steampeek is financial or investment advice.
Your account
An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure and use an email address you can receive mail at — receipts and account notices go there. You must be at least 16 to use steampeek.
Acceptable use
Use steampeek for your own research, work and reports — exports are there for that, and a link back is appreciated. Please don't: scrape or bulk-download the site with scripts (the API is the way to query steampeek from code), resell or republish the dataset wholesale, share a paid account between people, try to get around plan limits or rate limits, or interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Plans and payment
The Free plan costs nothing. Pro and Studio are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly at the prices on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; VAT or sales tax is added where it applies.
Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem is the seller of record for your purchase: it charges your card, handles tax, issues invoices and receipts, and Creem's Buyer Terms apply to the payment itself. We never see your card number.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling
Upgrades to a higher plan take effect immediately. You are charged the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing period — shown before you confirm — and the new price from your next renewal. Moving from monthly to yearly billing starts a new yearly period on the day you switch: you pay the yearly price, and the unused part of your current month is refunded.
Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep your current plan until then, and the lower price applies from your next renewal. Nothing is charged or refunded for the switch.
Cancelling is available any time from Account & billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again; you can resume before that date. When a payment fails we retry it for a few days; if it keeps failing, the subscription ends.
Refunds
14-day money-back guarantee. If steampeek isn't right for you, write to support@steampeek.app from your account's email address within 14 days of the first payment of your subscription, and we will refund that payment in full through Creem. No questions asked.
After those 14 days, payments — including renewals and upgrade charges — are not refundable, except where the law requires it or where we are at fault: if a paid feature you rely on stops working for a significant part of a billing period, tell us and we will make it right. You can always cancel to stop the next renewal.
This guarantee comes in addition to any rights you have under consumer law where you live, which these terms do not limit.
AI features
AI review reports and audience summaries are generated automatically from public reviews and profiles. They can contain mistakes, so check anything important against the source. Each paid plan includes a monthly number of AI credits (and, on Studio, audience scans) that resets on the 1st (UTC); a report costs one or more credits depending on how many reviews it reads, a run that fails costs nothing, and unused credits and scans do not carry over.
API and MCP access
The Studio plan includes API keys, a REST API and a hosted MCP server, so you can query steampeek from your own code and AI tools. A key works like a password: keep it secret, and keep it out of public repositories, web pages and shared screenshots. Each key is tied to your account and you are responsible for what is done with it. We store only a hash of each key, so we can't show a key again after it is created; if one leaks, revoke it and make a new one, or write to support@steampeek.app.
The API is for your own internal use: your research, your team's tools and dashboards, an AI assistant that answers your questions. Please don't resell access to it, redistribute or republish its data in bulk, build a competing data product or service on it, or use its data to train AI models. Showing a few numbers from it in public — an article, a talk, a pitch deck — is fine; credit them as “Data: steampeek”.
Use is measured in units, with the monthly and daily limits shown on the pricing page and a request rate per key. A request over a limit is refused until that limit resets; you are never charged extra. We may rate-limit, suspend or revoke keys that are used abusively or to copy the catalog.
The API is versioned (the current version lives under /api/v1), and breaking changes are announced before they ship. Like the rest of steampeek, the API and the MCP server come with no uptime guarantee. The Steam data behind them belongs to Valve and the games' publishers; steampeek is not affiliated with Valve, and an API key gives you no rights in their trademarks or content.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep steampeek fast and available, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change over time. If we remove or materially reduce a paid feature during a period you have paid for, you can ask for a prorated refund of that period.
Liability
steampeek is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using steampeek at any time. To delete your account and its data, cancel any subscription and write to support@steampeek.app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; unless the account was closed for abuse, we refund any prepaid time you lose.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change materially affects paying subscribers, we email them at least 14 days before it applies.
